I&#039;d encourage your readers to investigate use case point estimating because it really does provide a powerful tool for gauging scope of projects (and for doing &quot;what if&quot; analysis when adding or removing use cases from a project). 
We integrated use case point estimating into CaseComplete last year, and have seen the effectiveness in the field. One important point: take the time at the end of your projects to evaluate and tweak the parametric model (the technical and environmental factors). this will pay huge dividends on your next project!</description>

		<description>A useful post.  Including your credentials gives it credibility.  The SEI at CMU earned my devotion in the late 1980s.  To me, your qualifications are the best that one can have.  The numbering shown for the knowledge areas leads me to ask about the starting value.  Is &quot;4&quot; an error (perhaps an artifact from the image creation process), or is it deliberate?  If the latter, can you point to the missing three?
